Jackson Hole has long been the Gateway to Grand Teton National Park andYellowstone National Park, the first National Park in the world. Between the National Parks, National Forests, National Wilderness, and the Jackson Hole Land Trust, 97% of the land is protected from development. With limited space available to develop and Wyoming being listed as the number one most wealthy friendly state by Bloomberg, Jackson Hole Real Estate becomes very limited in supply with demand increasing annually.

Jackson Hole is rich in history. Back in the 1700s the area’s first inhabitants were the Native Americans. By the turn of the century fur traders discovered the area,spending summers trapping beavers and other small game.  Jackson Hole was named after David Jackson, who was the first person to write an historical account of a winter in the valley in 1829. Later on, the area became known as Jackson Hole, which eventually encompassed the Town of Jackson, Jackson, Kelly, Moran, Wilson, and Teton Village. The Town of Jackson was established in 1894, initially as a ranching town, which is still very much a part of modern day Jackson Hole. Around the world Jackson Hole is referred to as the “Last of the old west”. Teton County thrives on tourism which brings over 4 million visitors a year making it the number one economy in the Valley.
